About

The Wild Words North Writing Festival and Art Exhibit brings regional writers together with professional writers from outside the region to increase and enhance the community’s appreciation of writing (in all its genres and disciplines). From song writing to storytelling, from student writers to those who have been creating for decades, Wild Words North offers readings, panel discussions, and workshops to the writers of northeast BC and beyond.

Kane, Donna

Since its inception in 1989, the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council (PLRAC) has broadened the opportunities for the development of and networking in arts, culture and heritage for the people of northeast BC. Through coordinated and firsthand communication, sharing of resources, sponsorship of regional events, and the administration of several regional programs, the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council carries out its mission to support the diverse northern heritage and the significant cultures that exist within the regions of the Peace River and Northern Rockies. Its core values are to raise the awareness of the public so all may take part in shared cultural opportunities and to strive for the development and acceptance of the arts so that the arts may become a valid part of personal and community life in the Peace Liard Region.
