Organizer

Anjula Evans

Anjula Evans has a background as a Children's Therapist with a Masters Degree. She worked at a mental health clinic and as a consultant and workshop speaker for eight years, until she was in a car accident that left her with a brain injury. After ten years of rehabilitation, she began producing mental health resources for children.

Over the last year, she has become concerned about the life-changes children have experienced due to the pandemic, that are affecting their psychosocial development. In November 2020, she released a children's book for the primary grades, called "Kids & COVID Questions". The book is in line with public health guidelines in the province of Ontario, discusses how COVID has affected the lives of the characters in the book, and includes five worksheets with activities.

In July 2021, she converted the book into a narrated video-book on YouTube, adding detailed activities for children that coincide with her children's book. It is viewable for free, and the free eBook PDF and worksheets are available on her website, anjulaevans.com as well. Kid-friendly instructions for the worksheets are in the video, and they can either be done using the free downloads or on blank paper.

Anjula's underlying message is, "It's possible to face our challenges and overcome them." She also believes that about the pandemic -- that we can all get through this together.
