About

UPDATE: With signs of rain in the forecast for Sunday, we may be required to cancel this outdoor event. We will keep an eye on the weather and make a decision Sunday morning - please check our Facebook event and social media channels for updates. Thanks for your understanding.

KWAG celebrates Culture Days by welcoming you back to the Gallery for Family Sunday. Art-making activities inspired by current exhibitions will take place outside, on the grounds of Centre In The Square.

Experiment with newspapers as an art material, and create collages based on Shapes of Facts, a video installation by Yoshiki Nishimura.

Take a closer look at Planting one Another, and sketch the various plants and pollinators within KWAG’s replanting of Mike MacDonald’s medicine and butterfly garden.

Be inspired by the Anishinaabe story of Spider Woman, and make your own spider-themed artwork while viewing Terre Chartrand’s Asibikaashi (Spider Woman).

Visitors will be admitted to a maximum capacity of 14 at any given time to ensure physical distancing within our exhibition spaces; entry will be managed on a first-come first-served basis. Face masks are required for all visitors and hand sanitizer is available upon entry. Visitors exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 are not permitted to visit the Gallery; visitors will be screened for symptoms and asked to provide contact information on entry to support contact tracing if required.
