About

Personal Poetry for You!

Sit with a poet and share. The poet is curious. "What brings joy to your life?" and "Why do you need a poem today?"

The poet will write a short poem for you which will be gifted to you. All you have to do is read the poem out loud to bring it to life. It is our gift to you.

POET: Kevin Hobbs is an actor, playwright, prose writer and poet. He works in the medical education field as a lecturer in communication skills. He co-created a program to provide a series of creative workshops for people with MS in the Niagara Region.

POET: James Millhaven has several published works of poetry. His work, “Thirty,” has been published for the Niagara Literary Arts Festival 2015. He has two previous chapbooks, “Edges” and “As Well,” both published by Grey Borders Books. He is a nominee for a 2017 St. Catharines Arts Award.

CALLIGRAPHER: Laurie Boese - Mad Scientist, artist, potter, book collector and publisher - makes his own tools, cooks his own food, and can't travel between the Niagara and Grand Rivers without being recognized by students or audiences after 30 years of teaching and performing.
