Whitby Historical Society

The Whitby Historical Society is dedicated the preservation of history and heritage, and to generating public interest through a variety of community outreach and educational programs. The Whitby Historical Society offers an extensive year-round calendar of events, welcoming guests from around the world as well as locally to the Lynde House Museum for tours, offering a glimpse into the lives of settlers in the early 1800s. The WHS runs the Warren General Store, operates a Visitor Information Centre, and maintains Clarissa Lynde’s Heritage Kitchen Garden, exhibiting typical plants and herbs used in the kitchens of the 1800s.
