About

Do you like work play and puns? Are you a poet or wordsmith? Or, do you have a favourite song lyric you’d like to make into an artwork? Join artist Linda Carreiro for an introduction to text-based visual artworks. The afternoon session starts with a brief slideshow of artworks, after which participants will be guided using stencils and inks to create artistic responses to words. All supplies are included.

Location: MWS 151 (Studio Space), main floor, Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts

The workshop is being held in conjunction with Carreiro’s exhibition, Afterthoughts, at the Visual Arts Gallery and Exhibition Space at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine & Performing Arts.

Exhibition runs August 28 - September 24, 2023.

Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Open to public.
