About

October 5 - “The Busiest Piece of Railway in Canada: the Welland Canal Construction Railway” with Special Guest Andy Panko

Tuesday, October 5 at 7 p.m.

Pre-registration required - register by emailing [email protected] and indicate your preferred lecture.

Special Guest and local railway historian Andy Panko will take us on a virtual train ride as we explore the rails, sidings, and rolling stock of the Welland Ship Canal Construction Railway, one of the busiest railways in Canada at the time of the canal construction.

The St. Catharines Museum presents a series of virtual lectures exploring the vast history of St. Catharines and how people and places impacted the development of the city within the larger Niagara Region. Select lectures invite special guests and historians to give their take on the City of St. Catharines and its stories!
