About
Visit the Tett Centre for a journey of interactive arts experiences throughout the building, culminating in a collective display and celebration of our creative hub community in the Malting Tower. Engage with the Tett tenant organizations and studio artists throughout the building to create small creations that will be added to the Tett Tree of Life collective installation in the Malting Tower. The event begins with two hours of interactive activities, and culminates in a collective gathering and musical performance by Yakothehtón:ni - Jennifer E Brant (artist, educator, and singer-songwriter).
The Tree of Life is a powerful symbol found in various belief systems and cultural traditions worldwide, and this collective installation celebrates the rich diversity and sense of unity within our vibrant arts community at the Tett Centre. This event features representations from different cultures, showing how we are all interconnected through shared symbols and archetypes. Through a diverse range of artistic expressions, the activities and installation promotes cross-cultural understanding and appreciation, bringing people together beyond language and geography.
Please check the "Other Events from this Organizer" below to discover the ways to engage with Tett tenant organizations and studio artists in the building for this event. Together, we will create the Tett Tree of Life, visually representing our vibrant arts community.

Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning
The Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning (TCCL) is a not-for-profit corporation governed by an independent, community-based board, which is accountable to its membership: the City of Kingston as represented by Mayor and Council. Within its broader mission, the TCCL is mandated (and funded in part) by the City of Kingston to operate the City-owned J.K. Tett Centre as an accessible multi-use arts centre that supports cultural vitality throughout the region.
The J.K. Tett Centre is home to nine arts organizations (including the TCCL), eight Creativity Studio Artists, a beautiful waterfront café, and four multi-use rentable public spaces, including the Malting Tower, Rehearsal Hall, and Tett Gallery and Activity Room.
Together with our resident arts organizations, the TCCL is a thriving hub of artistic creation, learning and exchange that engages and inspires every part of our community. The TCCL offers many opportunities to immerse yourself in the arts, including classes, workshops, exhibitions, and building-wide open house events. It contributes to a vibrant arts community in Kingston by fostering collaboration among resident arts organizations.
