About

This grand villa was built in 1879 for William Storey, a prominent glove factory owner who became Acton's first reeve. From 1920 to 1923, it housed WWI veterans and then stood empty for several years. Beautiful interior features were refurbished and the building was transformed into a funeral home in 1937. It continues to provide that service to the present. Visitors will be treated to a display of artifacts from the early days of the business.
