Attendees can ask questions, seek wisdom, or just chat art and film! Feel free to submit questions beforehand by messaging Womxn's Film & Video Network on Facebook.

Diana Thorneycroft is a Winnipeg artist who has exhibited various bodies of work across the world and received numerous awards. Known for making art that frequently employs black humour and hovers on the edge of public acceptance, Diana Thorneycroft has pursued subject matter that often challenges her viewing audience. Her first stop-motion animation short film Black Forest Sanatorium had it’s world premiere at the 2020 Vancouver International Film Festival.

This is event is FREE and open for all womxn, non-binary, and trans men Manitobans interested in film & video.

The initial part of the talk will be recorded for a podcast, and the latter half will be hanging out with snacks!

If you prefer to view some of Diana's work beforehand, Black Forest Sanatorium is also part of this online fest - https://vimeo.com/givideo/vfp#t=2237

For the 12PM viewing at PLATFORM centre, 11 people can be in the space at once, so we may need to alternate groups between 12PM-1PM.

At 1PM, the talk inside WFG's Black Lodge can accommodate a limited amount of people (so please register with this link to participate - https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/femtoba-film-chats-with-diana-thorneycroft-tickets-175109486187). But the talk will eventually be available as part of the FemToba Film Chats podcast for everyone to hear! Please wear masks inside and follow all COVID-19 restrictions. Be kind and safe!
