About
Folk Society of Whitehorse Presents Square & Contra Dance.
The Folk Society of Whitehorse invites the community to an evening of traditional dancing, live music, and good company at a Square & Contra Dance on Sunday, September 20, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm at the Linda Rapp Building, Robert Service Campground.
Featuring live music by Megan MacLeod, Rick Avery, and Scott Wilson, with calling by Judy Greenhill, the dance welcomes both experienced dancers and newcomers. No partner or previous experience is required; the caller teaches everything you need to know.
The event is designed for adults and teens and offers a fun, welcoming atmosphere focused on music, movement, and community connection.
Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $15.00/person.
Participants are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring clean, soft-soled shoes, as no street shoes are permitted on the dance floor. The event is alcohol- and smoke-free.
