Gimli Glider Exhibit
On July 23, 1983 a Boeing 767 ran out of fuel and glided to an emergency landing on the airstrip-turned-racestrip in Gimli. "This is the only place you can actually see and hear the local stories of the "Gimli Glider" from the folks who were on site that evening." The founding Committee, along with a few private aviation enthusiasts, are dedicated to the telling of this unique Canadian aviation story, through the Gimli Glider Exhibit. This museum has as their mission: Educate, Enlighten & Entertain.
