About
The Heena (Mehndi) Tattoo Workshop will provide participants with insights into the history of henna and its cultural significance, which is widely used in regions such as South Asia, and the Middle East. Henna has become a global phenomenon, bringing people together through artistic expression.
During our session, attendees will have the opportunity to dive into the world of henna art and learn fundamental patterns and designs—no prior experience is necessary. Participants will learn how to utilize a henna cone to create various lines and shapes. Henna tracing sheets will be available for practice, allowing participants to develop their own unique designs. Common designs found in henna art include flowers, paisley, tendrils, stars, vines, spirals, leaves, water drops, criss-cross patterns, waves and much more. Henna is often associated with celebrations, and our goal is to unite diverse members of the Yorkton community to learn, share, and celebrate together.
Every participant will be provided with all essential materials, including henna paste and practice sheets.
The workshop will be led by henna artist Jinali Patel, the owner of Jinali Beauty Care - Yorkton.
