About

Join Jillian in an improv storytelling/writing workshop! This event is planned for kids age 7 to 12. Spaces are limited! Email the Regina Beach Library ([email protected]) to register! Jillian is a writer and freelance editor living in the Qu'Appelle Valley in southern Saskatchewan. Jillian's writing has been published by the CBC, in "A Gift of the Prairie" (2014), in Prairie Dog, Planet S, and Amazing Stories Magazines, in print newspapers, her blog content has been syndicated nationally and internationally, and her writing and editing skills have been put to use in the tabletop and video game industries. Jillian writes fiction, poetry, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, creative non-fiction, and silly rhymes. She is actively involved in the roleplaying gaming community. For eleven years, Jillian hosted "The Bookchick" programme on Regina Community Radio, wherein she reviewed books, interviewed writers and other bibliophiles, and read classic books on air. She is currently shopping a novel and a poetry manuscript. As if that isn't enough, she's a musician, a textile artist, a frustrated gardener, a cookist, a swimmer, and a painter of Very Small Things.

This in-person event will comply with any Covid-19 restrictions and will transition to an online event if necessary. We ask that all patrons attending events wear a mask, sanitize upon entry, and respect social distancing guidelines.
