About

As part of the South Asian Mommies of Milton’s Cultural Hour, SAMM proudly presents an enchanting evening of classical Indian dance featuring the timeless art of Kathak.

Experience a harmonious blend of elegance, rhythm, and expressive storytelling, brought to life by professionally trained Kathak dancers Kiran Saxena and Mugdha Deshpande of Taal Academy of Kathak, Milton. Their performance brings depth and soul to every beat, celebrating the grace and tradition of this revered classical dance form.

Kiran Saxena has been training in Kathak under the guidance of Guru Shilpa Save for the past 10 years. She is currently in the final stage of completing her Diploma in Kathak and has been performing with SAMM for the last 7 years.

Mugdha Deshpande is a professionally trained Kathak dancer from India. She completed her Diploma in Kathak under Guru Shilpa Save at Taal Academy and has given numerous performances since childhood. She has been performing with SAMM since 2024.

Both Kiran and Mugdha teach Kathak with great passion to students of all age groups at Taal Academy’s Milton location. Dedicated to preserving and sharing the classical tradition in its purest form, they continue to inspire through their artistry and commitment.

This evening, they will come together to perform a vibrant Tarana, followed by a graceful presentation of Ganpati Vandana by their talented students.
