About

Join us for a fun, educational and family-friendly morning of creativity and make your very own Fairy Doors! Decorate a wooden fairy door at this drop-in workshop and add a little bit of magic to your trees at home. Get creative while learning about the importance of large trees in our community and what you can do to protect them.

As we decorate our doors, we will talk about the history, benefits and beauty of the trees in Centre Wellington. This will be a hands-on, engaging workshop for all ages that encourages conversation and artistic expression.

You will leave this workshop with a hand-painted fairy door, and a greater understanding of why mature, urban trees deserve our protection.

Neighbourwoods

Neighbourwoods is a program of the Elora Environment Centre that works year-round to raise public awareness about the value, importance and historical significance of trees in our community. At Neighbourwoods we work to provide Centre Wellington with programing and events that encourage tree protection and bring recognition to the range of social, economic and environmental benefits of our urban forest. For 20 years, Neighbourwoods has been caring for trees and promoting their value with activities such as Tree Talks and Walks, Tree Inventories and volunteer events such as Citizen Pruners. Our vision is to create a greener and healthier place to live through tree stewardship and education.
