About

Tapestrama is Prince Albert’s premier cultural festival organized by the Prince Albert Multicultural Council, held at the end of September in celebration of Culture Days.

This year, Tapestrama Cultural Festival will be held in-person on September 24 & 25, 2022; 12:00pm to 7:00pm at the Carlton Comprehensive High School Gymnasium. A live stream is also available via PAMC YouTube channel and PAMC & Tapestrama Facebook pages.

It is a FREE 2-day festival showcasing a tapestry of various beautiful Cultures comprised of dance and music performances, food, customs and traditions intermingling together.

Tapestrama portrays the heritage and culture of all people and strives to promote intercultural connections , multiculturalism, diversity, inclusion and anti racism.

Prince Albert Multicultural Council

The PAMC was originally established in 1963, as a social and dance groups to promote dances of various cultures in Prince Albert. In 1973, Culture and Ethnic groups were formed and on January 1974, the PAMC was officially established. The aim of this council is to promote, develop and coordinate multicultural activities in Prince Albert and area.

PAMC has grown and evolved over the past 50+ years and has become a very significant organization within the community. The council has broadened its scope of activities to include settlement and employment services, language classes, employment skills training and assistance, diversity, multicultural and anti-racism awareness, and is host to many major community events and festivals.

Our Mission: "The Prince Albert Multicultural Council is a non-profit organization that fosters (cultivates) the appreciation of all cultures in the community through education, settlement services, community engagement and celebrations.
