About
Poetry has been an important form of storytelling in Iranian culture for thousands of years! You might even know some famous Persian poets off the top of your head like Rumi, Hafiz, and Ferdowsi! Come and learn how Persian culture has used poetry to tell stories and then try your hand at telling your story with poetry! Participants will hear and see some examples of English-translated Persian poetry, be given exercise to help create their own poetry, and have the opportunity to “illuminate” their poems.
