Dr. Neivin M. Shalabi, Ph.D.

Dr. Neivin Shalabi grew up in Egypt, completed my M.A. and Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Denver in the U.S., and immigrated to Canada as a skilled professional. She has taught diverse bodies of studies at universities in Canada, U.S., and Egypt. She collaborates with governmental bodies and community groups to effect positive change and character building through arts. Dr. Shalabi is the founding director of Niviana Academy for Educational Training and Consultation.

Niviana's vision is to promote ongoing professional development and life-long leaning. The Academy achieves its vision by advancing educators' instructional skills for effecting positive change. Niviana offers a variety of pedagogical trainings, among other professional programs for adults and youth. Utilizing art-based activities, Niviana enables the trainees to acquire self-awareness, reflect on their current practices, and devise future plans for growth and development.
