Digital Craft Fibre & textile arts

Ropa Vieja: Patchwork group Project supported by North York Art with the goal to promote relaxation, entertainment and camaraderie among seniors and non-seniors. The main activity consists of a craft technique known as “patchwork” that can be combined with other types of crafts to share knowledge in a friendly environment. So far most members are people from Latin America, hence we communicate in Spanish and generally the themes discussed are related to Latin American cultures. The goal is to be more than a group of seniors meeting with thread and needle in hand, but to act as a vehicle to share various artistic modalities, which will promote the preservation of our cultures and life experiences.

This event runs the duration of Culture Days.

This event is free.
