About

Keerat Kaur's artistic practice blends traditional craft, symbolism, and historical lexicons with contemporary themes, using materiality as a vehicle for storytelling. Her work explores the interplay between handcrafted detail, cultural preservation, and modern expression, often recontextualizing historical techniques in new ways. Most recently, she has been exploring how traditional craft can be meaningfully positioned within the world of contemporary art, ensuring that ancient modes of making are given the space they deserve.

Drop in to ask Keerat about her NVRC Artist Residency project. She is located in the Markers Space at the new Lynn Creek Community Centre.
