Hand Building a Mug Ceramics Workshop

Culture Days Ceramics with Chris Scherbarth Ages 14+, 8 participants In this workshop, you will learn how to make a ceramic mug from a rolled-out slab of clay. Chris will take you through the steps of creating the mug body, making, and attaching a handle, and decorating with underglaze. Note: Your final project(s) will be ready to pick up at Arts Underground the week of October 12th. Please RSVP below for these workshops. Please come around outside to the back of the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre where the Culture Days Info Tent is, audience will be entering the performance area from this location. All recommendations have been made based on information from the Yukon Legislation, Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, and the Centre for Disease Control. As recommended, people should NOT attend this performance if they: Have any flu-like symptoms; or have an underlying health condition. have traveled outside the Yukon, BC, NWT or Nunavut in the last 14 days. Culture Days recommends participants wear a mask if they have one. All participants should always adhere to the 2-arms length rule.
