About

In May 2019, the fourth annual Voice and Vision Collaboration (VVC) pairs 15 artists and 15 writers, to collaborate in creating new works of writing and art, inspired by each others’ work. Each writer and artist submitted an initial piece at the meeting and the artists randomly chose a writer as a partner. The aim of VVC is to produce new pieces, based on the 30 original submissions. Each partnership will consist of two pieces of writing and two pieces of art. The writing must be under 250 words, in either poetry or prose. The art has to be no larger than 20 by 20 inches, in any medium. The art submitted for the 2019 project includes sculpture, paintings and mixed medium pieces.

The VVC project will wrap up with a public event and exhibit on September 28, 2019, at the Airdrie Public Library. Join us for live music, "creation stations" & refreshments while we “unveil” the 30 response pieces, showcase the artwork and enjoy readings by the writers.
