About

See our newest gallery exhibit Food and Community.

Whether we are collectively preparing and making it, or eating it as a group, food brings people together in community. How often do we gather to eat at weddings, birthdays, picnics, holidays, church dinners, work breaks or family dinners? Or, how many times have we lent a hand to pick berries or make pierogis as part of a group? Across countries and cultures, people congregate in the sharing of food. Alberta is no different, as can be seen from the photographs in this exhibit.

Visit the Provincial Archives of Alberta during public hours to view this photographic exhibit.

Free exhibit. A donation to Edmonton’s Food Bank is welcome.
