About

Drop by Cascadia and visit our three workspaces that are imbued with art and craft throughout. On Friday tour our biodynamic gardens, view pottery throwing demonstrations and try your hand at hand-building objects in our clay workshop. We also offer candle dipping (100% beeswax), the basic steps of making a handwoven basket with our homegrown willows, and weaving, felting and stitching in our fibre arts workshop. Visit us on Saturday to join in the Cascadia Bell Choir, try your hand at charcoal drawing, and experience eurhythmy (speech and music made visible).

Organizer

Cascadia Society for Social Working

The Cascadia Society for Social Working is a non-profit organization that works to create opportunities for people of all abilities to fulfill their potential through living, learning and working in community. At the Cascadia Society, we strive to build a community that celebrates each individual while making a social and cultural contribution to the wider society.

Cascadia is a life-sharing community that includes adults with special needs. Cultural, artistic and therapeutic experiences are provided through residential home-care and day activities within the urban setting of Vancouver’s North Shore. As part of this programming, we operate six skills-based workshops and produce unique handcrafted goods.
