About
We will do 1 hour Dance workshop with fun, No experience needed, any ages welcome. Easy to follow. comfortable shoes. stretch pants with colorful top. Dance cardio with different songs.
I help people to get ride of stress, anxiety, depression with dance therapy to have a better mood and believing in themselves with self-confidence. I strongly believe dance could bring feeling of relaxation and peace, develop healthy relationships and behaviors, create better self-image about their body and release negative energy and depression. I believe that every person has the right and deserves to feel good about themselves, accept who they are and be happy.
This being an in-person event, AMED Dance Academy will take the appropriate and necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all its members and guests. There will be a limit on the number of guests allowed into the space at any given time and we will encourage the use of our on-site hand-washing stations. We kindly ask that all guests wear a face mask while on the premises and abide by the relevant physical distancing guidelines as set by local and provincial health authorities.

1. Our participants are limited to a number that allows 2 meters between each individual.
2. There is hand sanitizer and washrooms available onsite.
3. We are collecting the names and contact information for each participant in attendance to keep on file for 30 days.

Pooneh Alizadeh
Pooneh came to Canada in 2000. She is the award-winning Artistic Director of Academy of Middle Eastern Dance (AMED) started in 2004, after 4 years of her arrival in Canada. She has a Masters Degree of Art from Tehran University. Pooneh is a professional performer, master instructor, choreographer, director and producer. She comes from a strong background of multi-cultural dancing style such as Middle Eastern, Folklore and Ballet that enable her to perform creative shows like colorful Middle Eastern fusion repertoire. She believes there is no dance without real emotions. She uses dance movements as a form of therapy activities, full body and soul workout. She wrote several articles about dance and health in North shore news. She always help, inspire and motivate others by her passion in Vancouver through her volunteering workshop in different places, such as hospitals, community events, senior houses, schools, mental hospitals and much more. Pooneh helps people to get ride of stress, anxiety, depression with dance therapy to have a better mood and believing in themselves with self-confidence. She strongly believes dance could bring feeling of relaxation and peace, develop healthy relationships and behaviors, create better self-image about their body and release negative energy and depression.
