A day of discovery! Explore a stellar lineup of 27 sites featuring gorgeous architecture, local heritage and fascinating people and their stories. Admission is free at all sites.
The 27 sites include: 4 churches | 2 world-class research facilities | 1 architecture studio | 6 museums | 1 repurposed 1852 jail | 2 adaptively reused churches (one affordable housing complex and one arts theatre) | 1 iconic Kitchener stone tower | 1 ghost village in Ayr | 1 elegantly reimagined industrial space, featuring the largest permanent living architecture sculpture in the world | 1 office building retooled as a music rehearsal studio, with a performance space and skate park | 1 school adapted into a performing arts centre | 1 heritage home adapted into a cafe and bar | 1 local history treasure trove at the Kitchener Public Library | The world-famous CIGI Campus | 1 Masonic centre | 1 YMCA camp | 1 charming craft beer tap room with a nano brewery
