The Universal Gospel Choir is Vancouver's longest running multi-faith choir, and we want you to join us for an upcoming rehearsal! On Monday, September 29, UGC will open up our rehearsal space as we prep for our upcoming Yule Concert Series. Come listen to the choir work on new repertoire, and join in the fun to learn music from our upcoming concert, led by our incredible Artistic Director, Lonnie Delisle. It promises to be a fun, interactive, engaging night and a peek behind the curtain of a performing choir. Please pre-register. We look forward to welcoming you!

Universal Gospel Choir

Universal Gospel Choir (UGC) is Vancouver's longest running community gospel choir, and the only designated ‘multi-faith’ choir in BC. For almost 40 years we have delivered high-calibre, accessible concerts to audiences throughout the lower mainland, pairing beautiful music with powerful messages of justice and inclusion, and representing a broad spectrum of cultural and faith journeys within greater Vancouver and across BC.

UGC is known for being both justice oriented and community minded. We believe in the power of music to transcend boundaries, invoke emotion, challenge perceptions and bring people together, making it the perfect partner for social change. Our repertoire weaves together reflective dialogue on current events, powerful messages of justice and inclusion, meaningful song lyrics, and beautiful music, leaving audiences feeling hopeful and inspired.

Through our music we highlight and celebrate the diversity that exists within our communities. With over 70 individual voices in the choir, each with their own unique experiences, cultural background, spirituality and beliefs, we aim to create a community and musical experience that is accessible to all people from all walks of life.

Over the last four decades, Universal Gospel Choir has become a staple of the local music scene, and is widely recognized for its meaningful, thought provoking messages and its high-calibre musical performances.
