Visit the Transcona Museum during our Ask-A-Curator afternoon event! Chat with the museum curators about our current exhibitions, what we do at the museum, our favourite artifacts, and more. There will be mini-displays demonstrating some behind-the-scenes collections and conservation work.

Please note: We will be following current Manitoba public health regulations. Masks are required. Social distancing will be monitored.

Transcona Museum

The heart of Transcona's vibrant history and culture.

The Transcona Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the community heritage of Transcona and the surrounding Springfield district through our collections, exhibitions, and programs. Our yearly rotating displays feature the history of the community, the railroad industry, settler life, Indigenous cultures, and the natural history of the area.

The Transcona Museum is located at 141 Regent Avenue West, the site of a historic 1925 building that originally served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municipal Office. On July 14th, 1980 the building was designated a Class III Heritage Building by the City of Winnipeg.
