About
Polymer Dance is a contemporary dance troupe for non-professional dancers over the age of 16 with at least three years of dance experience. If you are a dancer looking for formal training with professional-level teachers and love to improvise and perform, come to our free class.
Class is 2 hours: 1 hour and 15 minutes of technique training and 45 minutes of ensemble improvisation.
We train year-round and perform in community festivals and public spaces.

Polymer Dance
Polymer Dance started in the fall of 2012 by Miriam Esquitín and Kristina Lemieux.
We are a contemporary dance performing group and class for non-professional adult dancers. Our goals are to provide a space for continuous training and to cultivate an improvisation collective. We want to be creative, be challenged and have fun as a group.
We have weekly classes for beginners and intermediate/advanced levels led by professional teachers. Classes progressively build skills and body awareness in a way that will allow us to dance for many years. We also practice and experiment with group improvisation techniques, learning to craft dances together and in the moment with artistic sense.
We perform at traditional and non-traditional venues a few times a year. We strive to bring dance to public spaces to reach broader audiences, and hopefully generate a shared sense of joy, identity, and safety.
We are part of a movement that aims to democratize access to the arts and dance in particular.
