About
Barn Quilts are painted in individual traditional quilt block designs to represent the quilts of yesteryear. These celebrate our SW culture and the individuals and groups who toiled to make these works of art to brighten their homes and keep their families warm. Participants will need to bring their own scissors, green painters masking tape, rulers, pencils, paper towels and brushes. We encourage people to donate or bring any of their leftover coloured acrylic paint, preferably primary colours.
Exterior paint is recommended but not required.
Guests can paint a traditional style or create their own pattern! A barn quilt tour and walk is planned for next year's centenary.
When: Sunday Oct 16 from 11am to 4pm, kicking off with a BBQ from 11am-12pm.
Where: 219 Main Street in the CCM's Art & Culture Centre.
Climax is on HWY 37 and HWY 18. Just 15 miles from the Montana border.
