About

Join the Art Gallery at Evergreen’s artist-educator Emily for a socially-distanced family-friendly tour of our gallery exhibition Arrangements, followed by a printmaking activity inspired by the art on display.

Come and explore the many creative meanings of flowers in the gallery and then create your own hybrid horticulture. Draw a new flower from your imagination as the inspiration for the relief prints you'll make to share with friends and family.

In the exhibition Arrangements, artists delve into the many meanings attributed to cut flowers, gardens and wild plants to reveal how flowers act as surrogates for all kinds of ideas. The artworks in the exhibition go beyond ideas of beauty to take an unexpected look at this familiar floral subject matter.

This activity is best suited for ages 7 and up. Pre-registration is required and self-provided masks are strongly encouraged. Each session can safely accommodate four families or social bubbles of four people maximum for a total of 16 participants. Part of this event takes place outdoors and part of it takes place indoors in areas with good ventilation.
