About

No live performances? No problem for these music students at Charles Hays Secondary School, who kept on playing and learning. Band teacher Daniel Sim introduced them to a recording process that taught them new skills and honed their ability to listen and work collaboratively. These young musicians are going to take this new process with them even when they're able to perform live again.

Prince Rupert Community Arts Council

The Prince Rupert Community Arts Council was founded in 1971 as a not-for-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to fostering arts and culture in the Prince Rupert region. The PRCAC is run by a volunteer board committed to enhancing the arts community in Prince Rupert. The PRCAC raises funds through membership fees, special events, corporate contributions, and generous financial assistance from the City of Prince Rupert and the BC Arts Council.

In addition to providing member assistant grants and scholarships on an annual basis, the Arts Council hosts a number of inspiring community events including the Kaien Island Craft Fair, Thursday Night at the Movies, and Creative Jam.
