A WRITER’S COOKBOOK is an eclectic combination of tried and true recipes peppered with original writing. Readers and writers will enjoy the essays and poetry and the recipes vary from easy meals perfect for beginners – such as teenagers or college students living on their own for the first time – to more complex ones suited to experienced home cooks.

Brampton Library - Local Author - Shiela Jane

Shiela Jane is a communications advisor and journalist as well as a writer. Her non-fiction articles have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers such as Today’s Parent, the Globe and Mail, and the Medical Post. Fiction work includes a début novel, The Saltwater Ghost, (no longer in circulation) and short stories and poetry in various anthologies. One historical fiction short story loosely based on the Mughal Emperors of India won an award in 2017.
