About
The Richmond Gem and Mineral Society invite you to join us on Saturday, September 21, 11AM to 3PM as we introduce you to our club activities and share our lapidary skills.
The first stop is the Culture Centre Plaza where you can view our boutique table. Handcrafted items made by our members are for sale. See examples of what we create with our rocks and silversmithing tools. Test your knowledge with the Rock Identification game. Try some of our fundraising activities such as creating a simple cage necklace or getting a crystal card reading.
Second stop is the lapidary studio on the second floor. Watch as rough rock is cut into slabs, shaped into preformed cabochons, and finally polished to create a finished cabochon. There is something to pique everyone's interest.
