About
Celebrate Culture Days with Oakville Galleries!
In this Children's Workshop, your young artist, with their sketchbook in hand, will take a guided tour through Gairloch Gardens and learn how to sketch en plein air! Our artist instructor, Becky D’Onofrio will lead young artists through the Gardens where they will discover contemporary art installations, learn a bit about the significant history of the treaty lands that Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens is located on, and discover the challenges and joys of sketching outdoors.
This program is free of charge and for ages 6-12 years old; pre-registration is mandatory for each attendee.
WHAT TO BRING
Participants are welcome to bring their own sketchbook or use the materials provided.
A refillable water bottle and a snack (nut-free products only, please)
WEATHER
The workshops will run rain or shine. Participants should dress for the weather and alternative indoor venue spaces will be provided should the weather not cooperate.
LOCATION
All classes will be conducted in the Main Floor Education Centre at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, 1306 Lakeshore Road East, 2 km from downtown Oakville.
