Join us at the Gallery for a Feather Wrapping workshop presented by local Indigenous artist Lucia O’Connor Laford. The workshop is drop-in and does not require any pre-registration. Lucia Laford (Waawaaskone Qwe) is an Anishinaabe artist from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Following in her father's footsteps, she paints in a traditional Woodland style. Lucia also employs many other techniques in her art practice, including contemporary styles using a variety of mediums. The Art Gallery of Algoma is a part of the Ontario Culture Days Regional Hub Program.

With the appointment of Director Jasmina Jovanovic in August 2011, the AGA looks forward to the next phase in its evolution: establishing and implementing exciting new initiatives, becoming more involved in the national contemporary art scene, and continuing to uphold its multifaceted mandate.
