About
Members of the public can join the Welland Museum to learn about a camera-less photographic process known as cyanotypes in this fun Culture Days event. Attendees will learn how to create beautiful blue and white cyanotype prints using only the sun to expose their images, which they can take home at the end of the day. This process yields some exciting results, and we can't wait for you to see yours!
All skill levels are welcome, and it is very beginner-friendly. The museum will provide some objects for your cyanotype prints, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own to plan personal designs. Organic materials, such as leaves and flowers, also produce interesting results.
RSVPs are preferred but are not required, although supplies are limited. RSVPs can be done through our website at https://www.wellandmuseum.ca/events/list/
or directed by phone to (905)732-2215 ext. 2815 or through email at [email protected]
Because this event is weather-dependent, there is a possibility for it to be rescheduled. Our alternative date would be Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2-4. If we need to reschedule, we'll be sure to let you know by email on the day of the originally scheduled event.
