About
Celebrate Agri-Culture on Mapleton’s Corniest Day! On Saturday, October 4 from 10 AM to 12 PM, join us at Ottens Farm (8563 Concession 6, Moorefield) for a morning filled with corn-themed fun, including crafting traditional corn husk dolls, making beaded corn cob keychains, playing cornhole, and exploring the corn maze. Corn husk dolls are a historic pioneer craft, once made using simple farm materials to create toys, and your handcrafted doll can become a keepsake, plant decoration, or even a Christmas ornament. Older children can craft on their own, younger kids can work with an adult, and adults are encouraged to join in to create their own traditional agricultural memento. This outdoor event celebrates Mapleton’s agricultural roots, so please dress for the weather; in case of rain, activities will move to the PMD Arena (corn maze excluded).
