Back garden area is located outside of the back entrance to Thorn & Petal. Can be accessed from back lot or by walking down the Garden of Hope stairs.

About
Thorn & Petal is hosting a hands-on art activity with a focus on collaboration, creativity, and spreading joy. Born from the essence of the work we do everyday to provide cheerful floral arrangements to Paris and surrounding areas, we have decided to invite our community to participate in a FREE joy-themed, nature-inspired community-driven project.
We are opening our space to individuals of all ages and backgrounds to join us as we paint and decorate small (6"x6") ceramic tiles centered around the idea of joy. Get creative by including personal stories, bright colours, floral patterns, or written words. No prior painting experience necessary, we believe this project will bring out the artist in everyone!
Once completed, the tiles will be installed around the back door area of Thorn & Petal, transforming the space into a vibrant, community-built art corner that will flourish for years to come. The tile wall is not only an art installation, but a visual celebration of our community, and a starting point for a space that will continue to grow and evolve.
We will provide all the supplies you need to decorate your one-of-a-kind tile. Don’t miss this opportunity to be included in a piece of art that will serve as a symbol of joy in Paris!
A station will be set up in the shop during open hours for walk-in participants while supplies last, between September 20th - October 12th. *we recommend you set aside at least 20-30 minutes to complete your tile.
Finally, the unveiling ceremony of the brand new installation will be held at a later date (TBD). The wall will be installed once all the tiles are painted and fired. We still have a few spare tiles available—so if you have not yet had the chance to paint one, there is still time to be part of this community art project! Stay tuned on Thorn & Petal’s social media for the announcement of the revealing day, when we will celebrate the finished wall, enjoy some refreshments, and admire the transformation of the back garden together.
