About

Are you an aspiring poet? Do you want to be? Have you ever tried? Now is your chance!

Throughout all of Culture Days 2025, Yorkton Public Library will have everything you need to make blackout poetry! Take one of the provided book pages and black out with marker most of the words on the page, leaving only the words that make your poem left on the page.

It is that easy and that fun. See what you can come up with against the poems blacked out by YPL Staff!

Prizes will be awarded for the most poetic, the funniest, and the worst blackout poems.
