Waterfront Print Studio Demo with Rachel Brown
Date and time
Baggage Building Arts Centre
Thunder Bay, ON
Offered in English.
Wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral washrooms.
Rachel Brown is an artist born in far north Alberta planning to offer print making classes at the Baggage Building Arts Centre this fall. Meeting with much of the Thunder Bay art community for the first time, Rachel plans to have a casual space in the tiny print studio exploring geographical space. Rachel believes that to understand oneself in culture, one must also understand the geographical space one inhabits. Rachel will be creating works on paper as an encouragement for us to see more in our landscape than simply landmarks. In hopes we look around in Thunder Bay at the sacred space our feet have landed on, and wonder how we fit.
Waterfront Arts Fair
The Waterfront Arts Fair will be a collaborative effort of individual artists, arts groups, organizations and guilds who will be coming together to perform, demonstrate, promote, share and sell their creations. The Fair will be showcasing and celebrating the vibrant Arts and Culture within our community and providing a rare view of the hard work, dedication, skill development, imagination, and self-expression involved in the creation process.
Attendees will be dazzled by live performances throughout the day, the opportunity to meet local artists and watch them demonstrate their processes at the vendors market area and also participate in a variety of hands on family friendly activities.
