About

Artist: Janice Low

Suitable for all ages, adult companion suggested to assist youth participants

Join artist Janice Low for a guided painting session that is both informative and relaxing. We will explore the imagery of a fall scene that includes a road towards an unseen destination on the horizon. Janice will provide tips and tricks to make your piece shine while you learn more about acrylic paint, how composition affects the mood of an image, and how to create realistic perspective.

Please gather these materials in advance:

- Drawing materials: pencil, eraser, ruler

- Painting materials: paints (acrylics, watercolour or tempera), a selection of brushes, water bowl, rags or paper towels

- Other drawing materials as an alternative to paint: Crayons, pencil crayons, oil pastels, markers

- A surface: thick paper, canvas board, masonite or cardboard

- Something to protect your working surface and wear messy clothes
