Carl Beam: Us & Everything

An exhibit of works by contemporary Indigenous artist Carl Beam.

Carl Beam (Ojibwe, 1943 – 2005), is one of the most important artists in Canadian Contemporary Art History, noted as the first Canadian of Native Ancestry to have his work purchased by the National Gallery of Canada as Contemporary Art.

This exhibit program is coordinated through the Cultural Services Office of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Services Department. The St. Catharines Public Art Advisory Committee contributes to the exhibit program annually in the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre and City Hall exhibit spaces. “The City of St. Catharines seeks to encourage all those who care about the community to participate in making art, collecting it and commissioning it.” - City of St. Catharines Public Art Policy
