Outside the Lines - Student Programming 2020
Culture Days Manitoba is excited to offer virtual student programming for our 2020 celebration. Schools, classrooms, teachers, homeschool organizations and of course students are invited to join us to celebrate arts education online! Our workshops will be available from September 25th- October 25th. This year CDM will offer a variety of pre-recorded workshops that guide students through creative projects in several genres. We hope to offer workshops that can be taken in one day, as well as projects that will take several sessions throughout the month. The projects will be shared on our webpage and teachers, students and mentors will be able to share questions and insight via secure chat. We look forward to connecting with classes across Manitoba with this fun, interactive virtual programming, please join us! For Further info please contact: Kurt Tittlemier, Special Projects Coordinator - 204-783-4844 or email@example.com Culture Days Manitoba would like to thank our Student Programming Sponsor the TD Bank Group.
This event is free.
Culture Days Manitoba
Since the first cross-country Culture Days, Manitoba has been a leader in both the number and diversity of activities provided, and in attendance on a per capita basis. We are also leaders in best practices, driving the delivery of planning and marketing workshops for rural and northern communities throughout the Province and contributing to the development of a national Culture Days handbook that encourages participation of schools and students. In Manitoba, Culture Days incorporated as Culture Days Manitoba Inc. in January 2013. Our mission is to celebrate the diversity of Manitoba’s arts and culture sector in all regions and communities of the Province. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg is produced by Culture Days Manitoba in collaboration with the Winnipeg Arts Council, Producing Partner. It is a free all-night exploration and celebration of contemporary art that takes place every Saturday of the Culture Days weekend from dusk to dawn. Core Winnipeg areas including St. Boniface, the Exchange District, Downtown and the West End will be illuminated by art installations, performances pieces and street-long parties. In ten years, Manitoba has seen a substantial growth of 175% in registered arts and cultural activities as well as growth in attendance. Culture Days has made a difference in Manitoba by showcasing and celebrating the diverse artistic and cultural talent across our province—in communities as far south as Morden to as far north as Churchill, in small venues and galleries dotted across the province to venerated arts institutions—giving access to all citizens, regardless of age, location or experience, to participate.)
