About
DISCover Disc Golf will introduce participants to the sport of disc golf, one of the fastest growing sports in North America, Europe and other parts of the world. It is a widely accessible game: all ages (youth to seniors), all ‘wages’ (socio-economic statuses - most courses are free, including Creekside Park Disc Golf Course, and the game can be played with one disc, $10-30), and ‘stages’ (beginner to professional). North of 54 Disc Golf has also received significant financial support from our local community organizations (Rotary, Lions Club, FFSD to name a few) to fund the development of the course in order to grow the game locally. Participants will be introduced to the game through a mini-clinics on throwing technique and the opportunity to play disc golf on the local course with the newly installed professional disc golf targets in a variety of ways, including options to learn about the game, purchase discs, play a few holes or up to playing a full 18 hole round.

Our mission is to foster and grow the sport of disc golf in northern Manitoba through course development (design, installation, maintenance) and by providing opportunities to learn and play the sport (we have run a league, a previous DISCover Disc Golf Culture Days event, a spring/summer leagues, assist with local elementary school club, and we will be running a PDGA-sanctioned tournament in the spring).
