About

Author Catherine Little introduces young readers and their families to Lucy Maud Montgomery and her timeless classic Anne of Green Gables, using delightful props including crocheted dolls to bring the story to life. She will then read her picture book, Anne of the Library-on-the-Hill, longlisted for the 2025 Toronto Book Awards, inspired by Montgomery’s visit to Toronto in 1921. Following the reading, families are invited to create their own “kindred spirit” bookmarks, with a chance to purchase books and have them signed by the author.

Organizer

Halton Hills Public Library

We have proudly served our community for more than a century. The Georgetown Public Library was founded in 1895. Three years later, the Acton Public Library opened its doors. The two libraries operated separately until 1974 when they merged and became the Halton Hills Public Library.
