About

We will be applying henna, paint, sparkle, bits and bobs to a painted canvas in celebration of this enriching community event. Mehndi application by a professional artist will be available as well as artisan grade henna cones for purchase. Mixed media pieces created by the artist will be available for purchase.

Artist Information: Shelly DuSoleil is the Dynamic and talented artist and founder of Ruby Moon Mehndi based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She has served thousands of clients and has taken part in numerous charity events, festivals, and has provided countless personalized sessions, and has been a valuable asset to weddings, mehndi parties, and prenatal adornments

Shelly is known for her unique and interesting fusion pieces that blend symbolisms, traditional themes and not so traditional elements. Her focus has been the honouring of special occasions, self care, self expression and community connection. She is a joy to collaborate with and always leaves her clients with a rewarding experience. Shelly is a credentialed and Insured member of the Canadian Association of Face and Body Artists CAFABA and is certified by the

International certification of Natural Henna Artists ICNHA. She is also a member of the Creative Arts Northern Network. When not serving clients, Shelly can be found enjoying time with her family and her dogs outdoors or running and skiing with her husky Fable. She also works with teens, and coaches special Olympics. Shelly is driven to enrich her knowledge and life experiences, as a result is often passionately engulfed in learning a new subject or volunteering her time for social and environmental causes

Waterfront Arts Fair

The Waterfront Arts Fair will be a collaborative effort of individual artists, arts groups, organizations and guilds who will be coming together to perform, demonstrate, promote, share and sell their creations. The Fair will be showcasing and celebrating the vibrant Arts and Culture within our community and providing a rare view of the hard work, dedication, skill development, imagination, and self-expression involved in the creation process.

Attendees will be dazzled by live performances throughout the day, the opportunity to meet local artists and watch them demonstrate their processes at the vendors market area and also participate in a variety of hands on family friendly activities.
