About

Submit an original design for our first Student Design Exhibition. We are looking for fresh work, a new or recently made design to hang on the lamp standards of downtown North Bay in the Waterfront District for next year - summer/fall 2022.

Expression of Interest – please submit an Expression of Interest for the exhibit by September 30th.

This EOI will include a jpeg image of your original design. Banner sizing is 28" wide x 48" high with a 3.25" seam.

We will be jurying the works in September (Jury Day is in October, 2021).

We will be selecting works based on: Presentation, Originality, and Artistic Quality.

Our jurors for the show will include: Dermot Wilson, Chantal Phillips, and Reinalie Jorolan.

The winning student design will be granted a budget and artists fees.

All student designs will be considered for an exhibition open to the public Oct.10 - Oct.24th as part of Culture Days.

The winning design will be featured in the exhibit in 2021 and will be printed on vinyl and hung on the streets of downtown North Bay in the summer and fall of the next year: 2022.

"Colours of the Wind" Banner Designs for downtown North Bay 2022.

Step 1. Call for student artwork images due September 30, 2021.

Step 2. Jury makes selection of artwork to be exhibited as part of Culture Days.

Step 3. Public exhibition of artwork 2021 at Culture Days - October, 2021.

Step 4. Winning design selected and announced during Culture Days. Winning design will be printed for summer/fall season of next year - 2022.
