About

This event is celebrates the unveiling of Alberta’s first “bookmark” installation joining Project Bookmark Canada’s CanLit Trail. Each bookmark incorporates a piece of literature from a local author set in a particular Canadian place. The Calgary Bookmark will honour Rosemary Griebel’s poem, “Walking with Walt Whitman Through Calgary’s Eastside on a Winter Day” from her book, "Yes." and set in the city's historic and dynamic East Village. Come hear Rosemary read her poem and join in a guided write-your-own poetry walk.

Project Bookmark Canada & Loft 112

Project Bookmark Canada is a one-of-kind, Canadian cultural innovation. Project Bookmark's vision is to blaze a Canadian literary trail connecting hundreds of Bookmarks in cities, towns and other areas across the country.

Loft 112 is a creative hive where ideas are given space to develop, a place where established and emerging writers, readers, artists and poets are supported, a place where unheard voices are given a platform, and a place of collaboration.
